Cancellation - A Great disappointment
It is with a great deal of regret that the Organisers have taken the decision
to cancel the proposed Boconnoc Rally Time Trial on the 31st August 2009.
Despite widely disseminating information about the event, by post, flyers at
events and a bespoke website barely 10 entries were forthcoming at the closing
date for entries. There had been promise of a few more but the competitors would
have been significantly outnumbered by officials and marshals. With only 10 cars
spectators would not have been attracted to the event. The extent of the
financial loss that the event would incur was too great to endure.
The Organisers are obviously disappointed with this situation as are the venue
owners who were looking forward to the event.
The Organisers expect to consult with the three Cornish clubs to discuss next
steps.
A big thank you to all the support and encouragement received. It is such a shame we couldn't pull it off.
